5 Ways To Stop The Craving Monster

Anyone who has ever done any type of diet can relate and knows that the first week can be very hard for us to get adjusted to. What makes it so hard is the frequent sugar cravings we get on that first week of starting our new regimen. We mean well and really do want to follow through on our new healthy diet but how can we if we're constantly surrounded by the foods we love to eat. Some of us walk into work and there's donuts everywhere, or maybe we come down to breakfast and see everyone's eating our favorite dish, this would give anyone a craving attack. All these constant cravings are just reminding us of all the the foods we can't have, and if we budge and give in to the cravings, then guess what? You will continue to get cravings and it will be a never ending battle. Today I'm going to give you a few tips on How To Stop The Craving Monster.

GO ALL IN- . Cut out all simple sugars from your diet. Your body is addicted to sugar so it will crave it. If you can tough out the withdrawal symptoms you will get like Headaches, Fatigue, Mood swings etc.. within the first 48 to 72 hours You will notice that the cravings start to decrease. For others they might still crave sugar but over the first 2-3 weeks you body will adjust and the cravings will subside.

CHEW GUM- There's some research that has shown that chewing gum can reduce food cravings. Now I wouldn't suggest eating 20 packs a day because the sugar in the gum can also add up, but you can try sticking with a most 1-2 sticks of gum per day. Any time you get a craving just put like 25%-50% of a stick a gum in your mouth and see if that helps.

EAT MORE FREQUENTLY- If you are dieting correctly you should then be eating frequent smaller portion meals. Waiting too long between meals will definitely send the craving monster your way. Try to eat ever three hours or so, this will help keep your blood sugar stable and prevent you from making an irrational food choice.

HAVE A WEEKLY CHEAT MEAL- As long as you are doing everything 100% right during the whole week there's no reason why you can have ONE CHEAT MEAL per week. The cheat meal will satisfy you cravings and keep you mentally focused not to cheat again until the week.

DRINK WATER- Become friends with water because it can definitely save you from a craving. When you feel the cravings coming on just walk away and drink 2 cups of water. This will keep your stomach content until the craving passes.

These are some tips that can help you defeat the craving monster, but remember that at the end of the day the only thing that will get you to your fitness goal is your own desire and will to become FIT! Desire is the ultimate weapon against any craving. The Desire to become fit will give you the determination and discipline that you will need to be relentless in achieving goal.
