For many, the summer is a time for vacations, staying up late, barbecues, beaches, pools and many hours spent in front of the TV watching your favorite shows or movies. Unfortunately, for many of us having all this extra time can also set you back on the body you worked so hard all year round to achieve. Everyone slacks off here and there but the summer months definitely isn't the time to do it. You can still enjoy your summer and maintain your summer body at the same time, in today's blog I will give you a few tips on how to achieve that.
WORKOUT EARLY IN THE MORNING -
I know I know, no one wants to wake up early especially if you don't have to but you HAVE TO SACRIFICE SOMETHING and that might just have to be your sleep. If you get up and get your workout out of the way you will have a higher success rate of maintaining your summer body. With all the summer event happening the later in the day you push your workouts the higher chance you will have of not doing them. Get up early get your training out of the way and get ready to enjoy the rest of your day.
LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME AND START WALKING -
Enjoy the nice weather and walk more instead of driving anywhere, not only will you save money on gas but you will burn more calories in the long run. These extra calories that you will be burning will definitely come in handy when you are drinking and eating your life away during social gatherings. Now of course burning extra calories isn't going to undo the damage of a couple of burgers and beers, but it's definitely going to help you gain less body fat compared to if you didn't.
YOU CAN ENJOY YOURSELF BUT DON'T OVER DO IT -
You trained and dieted hard for the last 6 month to achieve your summer body but your can easily blow your results within a couple of weeks. Remember you got the body you have now based on what you've been doing for the past 6 months, if all of a sudden you stopped doing what got you where you are now you will surely back track yourself fairly quickly. If you have 3 social events next week you need to plan ahead of time. Do some extra workouts to help burn more calories and maybe out of the 3 events enjoy yourself in one but maybe the other two you might have to be a bit more conservative. Enjoy yourself but don't over do it, over doing it will show in your belly immediately.
It's very hard to achieve your Fitness Goal, but it's even harder to maintain it. It might be time off for you, but body fat doesn't take days off it's hoping to get stored onto your body 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you have to be ready to fight it off. Follow some of these tips and STAY FIT ALL SUMMER LONG!
