Tips On How To Enjoy The Holidays Without Losing Track Of Your Fitness Goal
No matter what your fitness goal is whether it's to lose weight or just trying to stay Fit, making it through the holidays without gaining weight is a huge challenge for most of us. It takes 3,500 of overeaten calories to gain ONE POUND of FAT, with all the food and alcohol involved it's very easy to over eat and do that or more within one day. Holidays are days where unhealthy behaviors can be accepted even by the strictest health fanatics. It's a time to spend with your family and friends which you might not get to see so often and with great delicious food and alcohol around the last thing you want to worry about is your Fitness Goal. In today's blog I'm going to share with you a few tips you can do to minimize your body fat gain so you don't have to worry too much about gaining weight and you can actually enjoy yourself this year.
Start Eating Clean From Now - Don't wait until the day before an event to start eating clean, instead start from right now. Give yourself a couple of weeks of eating clean and exercising so you can rev up your metabolism, build some muscle and burn some body fat and that holiday event wont affect you as much. You should lose a couple of pounds in a few weeks. Worst case scenario you gain it back that day of the event but at least you are breaking off even. I rather end up being at the same weight than gaining ten pounds on top of what I already have. But chances are you wont even gain that much weight because you've been working hard for a few weeks.
Body Fat Doesn't Know What Day It Is - Might be a holiday for you but body fat doesn't take a day off and neither should you. Even though it's the day of the event you should still do your scheduled meals and workouts. Trust me you will enjoy yourself more and wont be shy to get seconds since you know you burned a lot of calories earlier that day.
Eat Before The Event - If you are really scared that you might binge at the holiday event you should have a meal right before going. Since you wont be starving and feel somewhat full or content you wont over eat as much. This is a great way to minimize drastic calorie intake during the event.
Just simply decide to start now and do everything 100% right eating and exercise wise. Make sure to still eat your normal healthy meals and still do your workouts on the day of the event and make sure to eat right before the event so you don't even feel tempted to overeat. If you follow these tips you will be sure to minimize your weight gain and still be able to enjoy yourself at the holiday event without worrying about your fitness goals falling off track.
