Can Diet Soda Make You Fat?

Many of us can relate to doing some type of dieting at some point in our lives and we all know how hard it can be to actually stick to it 100% of the time. What really makes it hard for us are the cravings that we get every once in a while. A craving will really test your will power and desire to stick to your diet. Some of us look for anything to just take the cravings away or to have some type of cheat without really cheating. For some of us Diet Soda or other Diet Drinks may help us do that, but can diet soda really help you with your diet or is it harming it?

Now SODAS in general aren't healthy for you so if your goal is to be the healthiest you can be I wouldn't drink soda at all stick with WATER ONLY. Some people say that Diet Soda can make you fat and others say that it can't so which one is it? Someone can only get fat by over eating and having more calories than what they are supposed to have. Most diet sodas have Zero Calories and Zero Carbs so it would be impossible for something with Zero nutrients to make you fat. If you have the right meal plan and workout routine for your fitness goal and you are following it 100% you pretty much can drink as much diet soda as you want and you won't gain body fat. I've personally have had many diet drinks while dieting and it never affected the outcome of my results.

For some there is one way that diet soda can make you fat but it doesn't have to do with the actual diet soda, it has to do more with how strong you are MENTALLY. Diet soda like I said before has no nutrients so it won't make you fat but it has artificial sweetners and they can trick your mind into thinking you are intaking sugars and this can cause craving attacks. If your will power isn't strong enough you can definitely crack and give in to your cravings and this is what will cause you to get fat not the actual diet soda itself.

So there you have it guys diet drinks may be a tool that can be used to help you with your fitness goals as long as your will power is strong enough. Remember that Will Power is like a muscle and the more you train it the stronger it will.
